The main findings are as follows : 1. There is no example of heardest, which is the second person singular past form. 2. The prepositional verbs of heare are heare of heare by, heare out of, etc., but there's no example of heare from. 3. The object complement of the pattern 'heare O OC' can be the present participle or the bare infinitive ; the selection between the two is made on whether an adverbial is placed immediately after the verb of complement or not. 4.
