Especificamente, en el contexto educative gran parte de la comunicacion tiene un enfoque pedagogico (McCarthy, 2001). En la tentativa de construir modelos didacticos, la mayoria de estudios sobre el discurso en el aula ban investigado casi exclusivamente los elementos verbales. De manera significativa, los fenomenos no verbales no se ban tenido en cuenta en la mayoria de trabajos sobre la comunicacion. No obstante, ciertos trabajos etnograficos e interaccionistas prueban que estos componentes se manifiestan junto a los fenomenos linguisticos en todo tipo de conversaciones (Argyle, 1975). Dado que este tema no ha sido ampliamente trabajado, este articulo pretende dar cuenta de los elementos no linguisticos que pueden manifestarse durante la retroalimentacion (o provision del feedback) del docente de L2. Varies trabajos neo-vygotskianos (Vygotsky, 1978) asumen que estos constituyentes median en el aprendizaje de las lenguas extranjeras.
